Is Opdee Right For You?
We are particular about who we work with
Not in a snobby way. We’ve learned, over decades of doing this, that we do exceptional work for a specific type of business, and our skill set isn’t geared for others. This page will help you figure out which category you fall into.

Who we work best with
You’re probably a good fit if you run a well-established small business ready to push into the medium-sized category. Or you’re already at medium or enterprise level and serious about growth. Maybe you’re bleeding money on advertising and want that to stop. Maybe you’re getting leads but not the right ones.
Working with us typically looks like this: within the first year, most clients see a 20 to 30 percent increase in sales and conversions. Some have seen as high as 60 percent. One building renovation client doubled their quoted sales from $1 million to $2 million while we cut their ad spend in half and reduced their cost per conversion to a quarter of what they’d been paying. That client is still growing consistently.
Our average sits around that 30 percent mark for sales growth within 12 months. We also typically see a significant drop in ad spend and cost per conversion, unless a client specifically wants to push hard on advertising volume.
Keep in mind that it’s difficult to keep this up year after year… not impossible… but difficult. Sometimes, when there’s a downturn in the economy or seasonal fluctuations, a win is literally to stay at the same level. Our approach is to keep looking for ways to improve business ROI when it comes to marketing and business growth.
The way we use paid advertising is strategic. We call it gapping. Google Ads and Facebook Ads fill the holes where you’re not ranking organically, or where you might lose a potential customer to a competitor. We run some brand protection, but the main purpose of paid advertising is to cover the gaps your organic presence has not reached yet.
These results are not magical. They come from data-driven work done by people who understand an industry.
Our Typical Clients
We work with decision-makers across the full spectrum of business leadership.
At one end, we work with presidents, business owners, and seasoned sole operators. These are people who’ve built something real and want a marketing team who can match their pace. Moving up, we work with managers and key personnel who have authority to act on recommendations. At the enterprise level, we work with C-suite executives: CEOs, CMOs, CTOs. At the top end, we work directly with boards to help with strategic alignment and oversight.
Owners make up a huge part of our client base. These are people looking for a marketing partner who knows what they’re doing, so they can focus on running their core business. Our job is to keep them so busy with quality leads that the only time they need to contact us is when something doesn’t feel quite right, or when circumstances change.
This might present as a slowdown noticed, a holiday coming up where they want to dial things back, or a hiring crunch where they need us to reduce lead flow until they’ve got the staff to handle it.
We have a client in lawn management and NDIS green services who asked us to pull back advertising by about thirty percent while they hire, then ramp back up in a month’s time. This is the kind of relationship we build. We’re always working in the background. Reports are available whenever our clients want them, and when they let us know something’s shifted, we’re on it immediately.
We generally don’t work with solopreneurs. Unless they are a seasoned operator who’s done this before, understands what it takes to grow, and is looking to do so, we’re probably not the right fit.
How We Work
We’re not the agency that schedules fortnightly check-ins and “friendly meets” to discuss “feelings” about campaigns.
We work in the background, constantly. Most of our long-term clients check in quarterly to review results, discuss lead quality, and make sure we’re aligned. Some of our client relationships go back decades, and those reviews take about an hour because everything’s already working… just like a dental check-up, to make sure you still have teeth.
We offer three engagement levels: autonomous, semi-autonomous, and consultant-style. Most clients land somewhere in the middle. You give us a job. We do it. We tell you what we’re doing and what you should expect to see in your results.
The one thing we do need from you? Feedback on lead quality. We see all the metrics and data up until someone picks up the phone and calls you. After that, you’re the one who knows whether that lead was gold or garbage.
Google and Facebook are AI systems that we’re constantly fine-tuning toward conversions. But to them, a conversion is a conversion. They don’t know that some of those calls are SEO salespeople or scammers using industry-specific terms to pitch their services. When you let us know what’s actually coming through, we can adjust targeting and block the noise.

What Makes Us Different
You own everything. Your website, your Google Ads account, your data. You have full admin access to all of it. We work on your behalf, but nothing is ever held hostage. You can walk away whenever you want.
This isn’t an industry standard. Many agencies keep ownership of client assets. We think that’s wrong. If something happens, if you want to leave or hand things off to an internal team, you should be able to do that without fear.
We also don’t do contracts. You work with us because you want to, not because you’re locked in. You provide us with access to your accounts, we manage them for you so you don’t have to, but we do NOT own them.
The number of horror stories from clients who didn’t have control of their own IT assets tells us this is a genuine issue in the industry.
Industries We Understand and Those We Don’t
This list matters. We’ve built deep knowledge in specific sectors, which means we understand the regulations, sales cycles, customers, and technical requirements of these industries.
We have solid experience with TGA regulations, the Therapeutic Goods advertising guidelines in Australia, and the compliance requirements that come with medical and financial services marketing.
This list is narrow by design:
If your sales cycle is under 30 days, we’re not your agency. We work with businesses where customers come back multiple times before deciding, where lead nurturing matters, and where the transaction value justifies proper marketing investment.

A Note on Startups
We do work with startups, but only a specific kind.
If this isn’t your first venture, if you’ve built businesses before and you know what you’re doing, we’re happy to work with you. One of our current clients started as a partnership and grew to a dozen employees in under eighteen months. They moved fast because they had done it before and understood how to build.
What makes experienced founders different? They understand that Google Ads and Facebook advertising needs time to season. Depending on the industry and competition, campaigns can take two to three thousand dollars of spend before they really hit their stride. Sometimes up to five thousand. After that, costs drop and performance improves dramatically. But you have to get through the learning phase first.
They also understand that SEO is a long game. They know how to measure results, track progress, and stay patient while the work compounds.
First-time founders often don’t have these habits. They don’t do lead qualifying or lead scoring. They don’t track where leads come from. They’re not in the habit of asking customers for reviews. They expect miracles within days on a tight budget. That’s not a working arrangement where we can do our best, as results take time and budget.
If you’re a seasoned operator starting something new, we should talk. If you’re brand new to business, we’re probably not the right fit yet.
What About Websites?
Same story. We build sites that perform and produce leads, or we work on established sites that need surgical SEO work to maintain and grow ranking.
We don’t build placeholder sites. We don’t do “I just need something up quickly.” We don’t work with template-only approaches or basic brochure sites unless it’s a small add-on for an existing client.
If you want to eventually manage your own site, that’s great. We provide training and encourage clients to handle their own updates when they’re ready. We also offer ongoing content management if you’d prefer us to handle it.
Check our pricing guide to understand what a website costs and how long builds typically take.
Our Ethics on Competition
Unlike agencies that take on as much work as possible, we’re deliberately limiting. We do not overlap customer types or service areas.
What that means in practice: we have a client in lawn management and NDIS green services who covers the north and northwest suburbs. That means we won’t take on any other lawn care businesses servicing the same area, because we refuse to compete with ourselves as it is unfair to the client. Full stop.
We call it alt-tab competition. If an agency manages two competing businesses in the same market, they can set the cost per click for one client, then switch tabs and set it for their competitor. The only winner is the agency collecting fees from both. Both clients lose. We don’t do that.
We’ve turned away plenty of work because we already have clients in those areas. If a potential client’s service area is far enough away that overlap is minimal, we’ll approach our existing client for approval before taking the work. We don’t expand into their territory without permission.
For clients on our ongoing monthly advertising services, we also have three-year NDAs in place. These non-disclosure and non-compete agreements protect your data, your processes, how you work, and what makes you different. We won’t use what we learn from working with you to help a competitor in your space.
This NDA applies to our full advertising and marketing packages. It doesn’t apply to one-off projects like a standalone website build or brand kit. But if you are a monthly advertising client, or have worked with us for over 12 months, three-year protection is part of the deal.
You’re not just hiring an agency. You’re securing a partner who works for you and you alone in your market.
The Bottom Line
We’re built for high-end B2B service businesses: businesses with longer sales cycles, businesses that need proper integrations with systems like Salesforce, HubSpot, Asana, or any CRM you’re running, and businesses that need social proof, lead nurturing, and marketing that connects to revenue.
If that sounds like you, we should talk.
